”Guiding peace. Igniting change”
Guiding Families Toward Resolution*
With over 30 years of experience in the social services sector, I bring compassion, insight, and a deep understanding of family dynamics to every mediation session. At Olive and Ember, my mission is to help families navigate life’s transitions with clarity, dignity, and respect.
Mediation offers a constructive path forward—one that honours each voice and fosters meaningful dialogue. I specialize in creating safe, supportive environments where families can communicate openly, explore options collaboratively, and reach agreements that feel fair and lasting.
Whether you're working through co-parenting arrangements, separation agreements, long-term relationship planning, or other family matters, Olive and Ember is here to guide you through a process that is healing, balanced, and future-focused.
My approach is grounded in empathy, neutrality, and a belief that healthy communication is the cornerstone of lasting resolution. Together, we’ll build a foundation for understanding, growth, and peace.

A Practice Rooted in Experience, Empathy, and Integrity
With a strong academic foundation in psychology and sociology, I bring over three decades of experience in the social services sector to my mediation practice. My work has spanned child protection, family support, and conflict resolution—guiding families through some of the most emotionally complex moments of their lives.
I hold certifications in Family Mediation (2023) and Transformative Mediation (2025), and my approach is deeply informed by trauma-aware principles, a commitment to neutrality, and a belief in the power of respectful dialogue. I help clients find clarity, resolve conflict, and build forward-looking solutions that honour each person’s voice.

I offer virtual services to keep costs down. My approach to mediation is grounded in empathy, active listening, and a deep respect for each person’s perspective. I create a calm and neutral space where families feel safe to express themselves, explore options, and co-create solutions that reflect their values and needs. Rather than focusing on blame or conflict, I guide the process with a focus on clarity, connection, and collaboration—helping people move forward with dignity and confidence.

Before the mediation process begins, I meet with each participant separately for a private intake session. This one-on-one meeting is a confidential space where you can share your goals, ask questions, and explore the topics that matter most to you. It’s also an opportunity to understand how the mediation process works and to assess whether it’s the right path forward—for you, for the other participant, and for the situation at hand.

For those seeking flexibility, my hourly mediation option allows you to book sessions as needed—without committing to a package. Whether you're navigating a single issue or prefer to move at your own pace, this pay-as-you-go model offers clarity, control.
An individual intake session is required before joint mediation begins, ensuring each party feels heard, prepared, and that safety is thoughtfully explored.

Moving in together is an exciting step, and a cohabitation agreement helps ensure it’s a smooth one. Through guided mediation, couples can create clear understandings around finances, property, responsibilities, and future planning—all in a respectful, collaborative space. For couples preparing for marriage with love, clarity, and mutual respect.
Marriage is a celebration of commitment—and a partnership that blends lives in profound ways. At Olive and Ember, I offer pre-marital agreement mediation to help couples thoughtfully navigate the legal and financial aspects of their union, while honouring the emotional depth of their relationship. This process isn’t about anticipating conflict—it’s about building shared understanding to support your future together.
Love deepens when we choose clarity—not because we expect storms, but because we want to weather them together.
Family mediation is a valuable process for resolving conflict when both parties are willing to engage respectfully and work toward mutual understanding. It’s especially helpful in situations involving separation, parenting arrangements, and financial decisions, where communication has broken down but the desire for a cooperative outcome remains. However, mediation may not be appropriate in cases involving ongoing abuse, coercion, or severe power imbalances, where safety and equity cannot be ensured. As part of the mediation process, I will assess for these concerns during each individual intake session to help determine whether mediation is a safe and constructive path forward for everyone involved.
To help keep costs manageable and services flexible, I offer all mediation sessions virtually. This approach allows you to participate from the comfort of your own space, eliminates travel time, and helps reduce overall expenses—while still providing the same supportive environment.

I live and work on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Chonnonton Peoples—land promised to the Six Nations and not fully honoured. I connect virtually across Turtle Island, I honour Indigenous Peoples, their history, and commit to learning and reconciliation.
